Delicious, but way too hyped up.

Super smooth, possibly the smoothest rye i have ever drank to date. Lots of flavor, i struggle to give it 5 stars based on taste at the $110 price tag. If it was cheaper it would get 5 stars.

I don’t normally taste fruit in bourbon, but i taste it in the bottle. This is readily available, reasonably priced and delicious. A must have for every collection.

So weird, so unique, and not stupid price.

First sip out of the bottle the oak hits you right off the bat. Its strong and rich. I normally love bbl proofs, but with this one i like a little ice melt.

A solid great bourbon. Not special just solid. Great everyday after work drink. It gets delicious as the ice melts too, which is strange because most 90 proof bourbons suck after being watered down.

A really solid bourbon. This is not a mind blower, but its a really solid sipper. All those rich bourbon tones you think of when you want ‘bourbon’ and not some crazy new creation for marketing. Harper was marketed almost exclusively in japan for years and has only recently come back to the states. I can see why it was a good choice for showcasing American distilling.

Simply a great example a full rich American bourbon.

A very ‘meh’ bourbon. Clearly very young and not aged for an extended period. Comes off less flavorful and more ethanol up front. Not something I will purchase again anytime soon. In the price range there are a list of equivalent or better bourbons.

Really smooth, not Spicy for a rye. Love the 110 proof full body flavor. No way you guess this is 110proof in a blind taste test. This is one of my favorite whiskeys and has become a staple at my house. Dollar for dollar you are going to have an extremely hard time matching the quality. I think the best thing about this whiskey is that it is like a high rye bourbon. Its really really rich yet its really smooth with very little rye bite, but still that good rye flavor. Its just a really great drink.
