Nose has a punch but you can pick up that great Cognac smell coming through. Let this open up for a bit and you will be ready to light a cigar and sit next to a roaring fireplace in a deep leather chair. A little varnish and leather on the taste with hints of flavor from the Sherry. Smooth going down but enough bite to keep you warm.

One of the few left brave enough to slap an age on the bottle. Hints of caramel and nutmeg on the nose. A bit of floral. A soft vanilla that makes the taste super light and easy. Super smooth going down. Love having this stuff around.

Took me a few years to warm up to the 1792 brand but this stuff is good for those that like cask strenght. Nose is a punch in the face overproof kinda bourbon but a splash of water to open it up releases a sensation of caramel, florals, and apricots. The taste leads to a little spicy cinnamon and varnish with the good burn going down that you would expect from a cask strength whiskey. A new addition to my list to always keep on hand.

Heard some great things about this so had to try it. I mean c'mon it's cask strength Blanton's. Strong caramel, cinnamon, and everything nice on the nose. Spicy to taste and lots of burn but then goes down really smooth. Will definitely keep this stocked in the collection.

Not a bad price on a 10 year but definitely not as complex as most 10 years or older I've tried. Very sweet vanilla, caramel, and a hint of cherry nose and a bit smokey. Sweet to taste but definitely light with little to no burn going down. Decent choice for a dessert bourbon.

Definitely let this one open up for a bit. The flavors need a little time in the glass to really stand out.. Caramel, vanilla, strong florals, and black pepper (from the cab casks I presume) on the nose. Spicy rye with a hint of sweet caramel and apricot to taste and goes down really smooth.

Definitely a strong traditional varnish nose with slight hints of all spice and nutmeg. A little harsh on first taste but goes down really smooth.

Been drinking this bourbon for over 6 years now and it never disappoints. It’s definitely got some heat with cinnamon, apple, and cotton candy on the nose. Definitely strong rye on the taste and a pretty smooth finish.
