Tastes

Starts a little sweet, then you get a lot of sort of raw oak, then a bit of burn/bite. Not quite like licking a tongue depressor, but not very refined, either.

I really like this. Light with lots of pear and a little apple or maybe peach. Great summer whiskey.

Can't say enough about this. Expensive, but worth it. Smooth with rich toffee and plum flavors, ending with some spice.

Not sure about the rumors. I toured the distillery in Fredericksburg, VA, and they say it's all distilled and casked there. (shrug) Just a little hot, but nice toffee flavors with a spicy finish.

Interesting. Very, very small batch, my bottle was one of 122 in batch 2. Complex, but really young.

Excellent, lots of light fruit with a touch of vanilla and plenty of complexity. Hard to find.

Very young-tasting, lots of fresh wood. meh.
