A pleasant and slightly floral nose, deep cherry/raspberry candy colour, it's consistency is syrupy and thick. Very sweet and incredibly easy sipping with a nice quick kick at the end to remind you it is indeed alcohol. Very reminiscent of cough syrup you didn't mind taking when you were sick as a kid. A lot of candied cherry, deep raspberry and plummy flavours with a whisper of juniper that is underscoring the entire affair. Surprisingly quite enjoyable on it's own, but definitely a "time and place" kind of spirit that is most certainly better suited to cocktails and mixology.4.0 CAD per ShotVines Pasta Grill

Very mild and smooth overall aroma on the nose with lots of warm vanilla, a delicate touch of woodiness and a tickle of zest. The arrival cascades into a full delivery of warmth and burnt sugar-esque sweetness turning into a minty fresh finish with marcipan and undertones of the ex-Bourbon cask wood imparting a beautiful and lingering sweet finish. An excellent sipping rum, best enjoyed neat to appreciate the flavour. You could give this to anyone just to wet their lips and they'll probably be surprised by how easy drinking it is. I ended up going through my bottle in no time at all because it was so easy to sip on in the evening after a long day.57.49 CAD per BottleThe Port by the NSLC
