Solid bourbon but not what I’d give an award to. Decent mouth feel (not too light). I pick up notes of caramel, chocolate and nutmeg but nothing really lingers after the palate.

This is a delicious whiskey. The Madeira cask truly delivers the right amount of fruitiness, primarily cherry, fig and pear to a somewhat spicy and hot whiskey. This balance makes it an easy drinker despite the high proof. This wasn’t a cheap whiskey but it’s every bit as good as MWND but more aimed at bourbon vs rye lovers.

This is an enjoyable whiskey with a very florally flavor. Notes of cherry and ever so slight Cabernet. Drinks just a little too light at 45%. I wish the proof was higher so some of the flavor and true wine notes would shine through.

Overall light sweet bourbon with a definite taste of vanilla and florally flavors. Easy to drink but I was expecting more from 15 year bourbon. I think if the proofed were up 10-15 the mouthfeel and taste of this bourbon would be way better.

Nose. Very much a fruit sweetness with a nice toasted oak Palate. Good mouth feel, palate follows the nose with sweet fruity flavors. Mainly citrus and some sour apple with hints of baking spice. Finish. The mellow oakiness reappears and enhanced baking spice.
