This is a straightforward whiskey. The double oak does add nice fruit and woody notes. It makes for a good mixer. It doesn’t have the depth of flavor I prefer for my straight pours.

This is a very good pour. The High proof makes it spicy, but as it opens up and is diluted with a little water I get great chocolate minty notes followed by oaky vanilla. The malted rye also gives it a nice malty/ grain background to complement the cacao and slight cherry finish.

This is a nice easy drinking scotch. Its fruity, sherry notes make this a great end of the night pour. It has just enough light peatiness to offset the sweetness.

This is a good whiskey for the price. At 90 proof it drinks nice and easy. It has a good mouthfeel. The nose has cinnamon, vanilla, and oak. The taste hits with a bit of spice, cinnamon, cereal and other baking spices. The finish was crisp with a nice note of vanilla.

It is very light on the nose and palate. It reminds me of eating a warm delicious waffle.
