Actually had the 9 year at 49.5 abv. Wonderful nose of sweet oak. Pallet started sweet and quickly turned earthy with grass and dusty hay ending with long rye spiciness. After adding a bit of water spearmint and alum appeared as well.

Found it to be a bit rough

Smooth solid rye. Easy drinking for 45%. Typical rye progression. Smooth to a nice tongue tingling spices at the end.

Delicious apples on the nose, thicker mouth feel with cinnamon and baking spices throughout to a medium long barrel ending.

Peated vanilla and woody spices. Very well done and enjoyable.
