Tastes

Not an overpowering nose, considering the cask strength. Some orange and vanilla notes. The taste is strong in salted caramel which lingers long after the taste. Both the nose and more flavors come through when opening it up with a few drops of water. A unique taste. This relates to Liquor Land in Detroit bottling. Batch 106 bottle 28

Has the taste of a younger Bourbon. No bad but missing the deep oak and character you get from others. The corn and sweetness come through quite a bit. Has a similar taste to other Michigan bourbons. Maybe it’s the water?

Good mouth feel. Smooth but with nice spicy notes

Sweet and smooth like a good wheated Bourbon should be. One small ice cube to open it up and it is smooth as silk.

Sweet and spicy but you can taste a grain alcohol bite on the finish. Standard well bourbon

Nose is a bit harsh flavor is not as oaky as you would expect. Opened it with a bit of water and it helped the flavor.

Silky is what comes to mind. Great nose very smooth with only a little spice, almost sweet as a wheatted.

My go to for cocktails. Makes an awesome old fashioned

Not great when compared to a pure high end bourbon but it’s a fun change of pace although a bit sweet.

Unbelievably smooth. Had this recommended by someone at Heaven Hill and they weren’t wrong. This one will be a regular on my shelf.
