Tastes

The Rye adds that spice to the nose along with medicinal, oak, and floral notes. The taste starts pretty spicy at first and then very sweet behind the tingle.

Sweet, vanilla, oak taste. Nose is vanilla literally and metaphorically. Love that it’s local wish it didn’t cost so much.

Smell is quite pleasant with sweet vanilla, oak, some fruit. Definitely get a lot of oak taste. Not a lot of tingle, very smooth. Finish is strong, but does not linger long.

Velvety smooth, but the taste is musky.

Flat.

If I could personify my tasting experience, it was like I was sitting naked in my broken-in leather chair with my feet planted firmly on a velvet rug staring at a crackling fire while listening to Kenny G. Seriously. I get lots of floral and leather on the nose. Smooth mouth feel with a long spicy, fruity, chocolatey finish.

For the spice and sweetness, the price can’t be beat.
