Tastes

I really enjoyed the smoothness of this lightly coloured Japanese pure malt whisky. Very drinkable.

Fruity taste with hints of orange and lemon peel, dried fruit, woody spices and caramel notes. The 'brother' of the Wilhelm Evermann Single malt whisky double distilled in the Black Forest in Southern Germany.

A reasonably smooth single malt nurtured and matured for 10 years. Drunk on Christmas day.

A simple, cheap and cheerful blended Scotch Whisky bought from the Netto discount supermarket chain in Germany for well under 10€ a bottle. I use it for mixing, mainly with ginger ale and ice or a great Christmas Whisky Mac with Stones Ginger Wine. The its delicious.

Sweet and very cinnamon tasting. Unusual but not a major hit for me.

Very smooth, rounded whisky originating in the Black Forest region of southern Germany. A nice cream sherry colouring, probably attributable to being matured in sherry casks from Jerez de la Frontera in Spain. Lovely.

A bit too sweet and sickly for my taste. A classical mixture of rye whiskey, lemon juice and sweet syrup. Probably best drunk over ice.

Presents pears and berries, paired with a hint of smoke. Soft and creamy with notes of spicy Port wine. In the finishsome roasted flavours such as coffee and chocolate.
