Tastes

I came upon this at my local store unexpectedly as I didn't know 1792 had a 12 year release. I was very pleasantly surprised. I really loved it. Nose: Sweet, fruit forward..lots of cherry flavor with vanilla and a bit of citrus. Palate: Vanilla, butterscotch and pear. Finish: long finish - you can taste the oakiness here , less fruit but still buttery. and the finish goes on. I was very happy with my purchase. It drinks flavor wise way above the 96.6 proof. And at $50 was a steal.

This Whiskey is one of my absolute favorites. I get lots of citrus and butterscotch and it is AMAZINGLY smooth for a four year whiskey at high proof. Happily for some reason - it has showed up in a few stores lately as it it can be difficult to find.
