Tastes

Oak, green apple, black pepper. I say bitter but not in a bad way. Medicinal astringency at the end, which is delicious and warm. The port casks add lovely herbal depth. My 3rd AECS year, 2nd favorite. 2021 is proving hard to beat.

Very oak forward. Warm through the nose, astringent and clove-like bitterness.

Just a lovely blend. Great maple sweetness, nice back notes of vanilla, honey and rich molasses. The nose is heaven. Neat or in a manhatten with black walnut bitters.

Very oak-dominant. Lots of baking/holiday spices and that high proof warmth. Minor notes of vanilla and walnuts.
