Tastes

All fruit on the nose. A little hot for the abv. Very tasty and fruity (particularly stone fruit) behind oak and vanilla, not overly complex but pleasant. The finish and aftertaste is short, but all stone fruit. Very approachable for new whiskey drinkers.

Apples, honey, light peat and freshly mown grass on the nose. Peat straight off in the mouth, which slowly gives way to vanilla, honey, light smoke and salt with a lightly oily mouth feel. The finish is fairly long and warming, with the smoke and peat still there and slowly revealing stone fruit flavor and a little more salinity. Very mild on the alcohol burn. Good stuff and a good intro to peated malts.
