Tastes

Sweet, but a surprisingly spicy aftertaste, though very well balanced. The spiciness doesn't overpower the sweetness, and vice versa. Definitely got a chilli chocolate brownies sorta vibe. Very good.

€35 for a 12 year old single malt? Figured I'd roll the dice on it. First impressions were that it's very peaty, more like a scotch. But it's not peat, more like pineapple. Half-sweet and refreshing, half-eroding your taste buds. It tastes alright, but the aftertaste is wicked. Even after a small glass, you'll be tasting it for the rest of the night. I struggled through a third of the bottle over a few nights, poured the rest down the sink, bought a bottle of Green Spot instead. Avoid.

This is the vanilla ice cream of whiskeys. Grand and easy to drink and all, but doesn't really taste like anything. Probably good for mixing. "Proper Twelve - Whiskey for people who don't like whiskey. "
