Tastes

Sweet, caramel tastes very light for being 100 proof. Nice flavor, but pretty one dimensional. I'd put it in line with Weller special reserve. It's good, not great, but for the price it's worth having in your liquor cabinet.

Light on the vanilla, cinnamon and citrus. The notes say orange, and I can see that although I'm not picking up a ton of orange. Definitely getting some charred oak with a fair amount of spice. Great bourbon.

Lots of vanilla and some toffee. The nose is full of sweet vanilla and a hint of alcohol/great. At 50%abv you can tell, but it's such a smooth rich flavor. Col. Taylor is one of my benchmark bourbons. Always stands up.

Lots of heat initially. Then settles down to all of the standard bourbon flavors. Vanilla, oak, and cinnamon. A little bit of allspice. It drinks really smooth, but needs a little water to open up the flavors, but it is 62.5% abv so no surprises there. The real surprise is that it’s smooth enough to enjoy neat.

Smooth and salty. Fairly oaky with a little spice. Not a ton of vanilla. The fact that this spent a fair amount of time with varying humidity and fluctuations in temp shows. The juice feels older, more mature and smoother than you’d expect.

Lots of vanilla and oak. Not quite as much oak as the 1910, but still there. Spicy with a high abv. Drinks a lot smoother than it should. One of my absolute favorites and is criminally underrated.
