Old Fitzgerald Bottled in Bond 11 Year (Spring 2018)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed May 5, 2019 (edited November 25, 2020)Very good, but for the price I think I would chose others with a lower price if blind tasting...being honest. Wife and I did finish the bottle and they let us keep it with an 1/8th of an ounce left. Will make it an Old Fitzy Infinite bottle. Ha! -
Had multiple times. Neat. I have to agree with our professional assessor, which makes me feel sophisticated today, LOL Nose : I do get the Mint and anise/Licorice for sure. Moderate ETOH. ( Wife got butter scotch after 20-45 min ) Palate: yes on the honey/molasses, minty fruit. No dark chocolate for me. Finish is long, hot and satisfying just as Rob describes ! A Home Bar faster mover for me, will blind taste with the buddies.

Had at the Press room on Derby Day, neat. Maximum Security looses after DQ . Country House wins 65-1 long shot , so I decided to try a whisky from Japan. Nose: very nice fruit citrus tones, low alcohol. Plalate: Medium heat, very smooth , low smoke/Peat. Vanilla finish. No problem with trying this again.

Breckenridge Distillers High Proof Blend
Bourbon — Colorado, USA
Reviewed May 3, 2019 (edited July 2, 2020)Had Neat, 5 drops of h2o. For a higher proof this was pleasant, bready vanilla spice. Long finish of numbing honey oak and vanilla Carmel . I didn't get as much fruit as others. Will become a staple of my bar. Very pleased.
