Loads of vanilla with some caramel and sweet cinnamon. Very balanced, though quite sweet and not overly complex. No overpowering alcohol burn. Lingering finish of apricot with an occasional glimpse of funk. Very pleasant sipper. I must say their branding is completely on point. Beautifully decorated box inside (with colorful rainforest illustrations) and out, and the traditional petate braided by Mayan women is a clever touch.

Courvoisier Sherry Cask Finish
Cognac — Cognac, France
Reviewed October 22, 2022 (edited October 30, 2022)Great aroma (I love getting a drop on my fingers after a pour). Smell is akin to prunes. Alcohol burn is a bit intense, making me wonder if it's a younger blend, but the palate is quite nice, if a little short and to the point. Caramelly with dried fruit in the finish. Not super smooth per se, but certainly tasty, even if the dryness is a bit overpowering.
