For the price, even though harder to find these days, it’s a nice smooth drinking bourbon, not overly complex but still polished enough to be up there with a Blanton’s single barrel any day of the week and for less money.

Nose is fantastic, caramelized peaches, dark dried fruits, subtle cinnamon. Taste is very good, syrupy and honey notes. The finish falls a bit flat for me though, could be more rounded and slight bitterness at times.

Coming from the whisky world this has a enjoyable layer of different flavors, bit of smoke, dark and citrus fruit notes, nice oak notes present. So far this seems more intense flavors than xo cognacs I’ve tried.
