Remus Repeal Reserve Series II (2018 Medley)
Bourbon — Indiana, USA
Reviewed December 1, 2018 (edited May 11, 2019)Remus II is a very smooth, deep tasting bourbon. The main taste I got was rich oak, caramel and wheat. The finish dissipates quickly and leaves you with a molassss flavor mixed with yeast. Almost like a dark brown sugar flavor without all the sweetness.85.0 USD per Bottle -
Previous post says it all, if you enjoy over oaked, aka not your typical bourbon, this will be for you. To me, it had a bitter note that turned me off a bit. Upon opening the bottle, the aroma is incredible. It smells fantastic. The taste, however, was good, overly oaky of course, but it was a bit bitter and left my tongue with a bitter note after the fact. I am super glad I have it in my collection, it is well worth the wow factor and sharing something with friends. I would, however not buy another bottle. I bet this one lasts me another 23 years!!!135.0 USD per Bottle
