Tastes

For the first few sips, the smokiness overpowers the other flavors. Afterwards, the smokey taste disapears to leave place to a lightly sour blend of fruit flavours. Lacks the oily finish that lets some Svotches leave a great lasting flavor for hours. Decent Scotch, but inferior to the more affordable Bowmore 15, and much inferior to the better ballanced and broader palette of the Ardbeg 10 year.

Very decent, smooth Scotch. A bit of a safe choice, I didn't particularly learn anything new. Does not have any offending flavours, so would see this as a very newbie friendly option, or great to share at a party.

Mild smokey flavour. At first smokey, but after a few sips the peat flavour rises from the shadows to take the spotlight.

Very smooth and decent for a bourbon. Sweet corn notes.

Sweet, fruity with a green apple flavour, a little oily, and extremely dry
