Tastes

Caramel and citrus in the nose. Medium viscosity Pepper, cinnamon, and oak stand out. Mutes out the sweeter caramel and leather but they are still there. Shows its heat.

In two words: Bananas Foster. A lot of banana notes jump out at the beginning but then transition to an iced banana bread / pound cake flavor. Very good and even better when paired with some chocolate but would not be an every day sipper. Very unique and great to share but I would not buy another bottle.

Had some neat as an after dinner drink. Was very disappointed with it. I might have set my expectations too high. it seemed like it was trying so hard to be Scotch and a bourbon but missed the mark on excelling in either one. It was interesting but would not order it again.

Hot. Cinnamon. Tons of oak. Lingering anise. Not bad but for the price the Russel’s reserve single barrel beats it hands down.

Initial tasting: Look: light copper, honey, spicy Nose: cinnamon, baking spices, orange, vanilla, baked bread, fruit cake Taste: caramel, vanilla, oak, cinnamon, Finish: sweet vanilla oak lingers on the palette.

Initial tasting upon opening. Look: Amber, honey, copper Nose: oak, ethanol, brown sugar, vanilla Taste: caramel, vanilla, oak, slight apple, dark cherry, oily and looong finish, cinnamon, baking spices, extremely balanced.
