Tastes

This is a whisky for all of us who hunger for truth… For all of us who cry out in pain… For those whose souls yearn to sing. A truly beautiful expression of the Balvenie. A very strange thing happens when you begin to experience this whisky. Dark caramel and honey on the nose. The kiss of soft fruit on the pallet. The finish, reminiscent of a sky black with ashes. Sometimes you don't quite see the elements coming together and then, when it all comes together, there's something magical, something organic and profound.

Vanilla and citrus on the nose. The taste starts sweet and becomes bitter, pure cocoa/ dark chocolate. Oak and spice on the finish.

Vanilla and some spice. It’s got that great bourbon taste that we’ve all come to love.

Excellent expression from the Balvenie, one of my favorites so far... beautiful dark amber color. Lots of sweet brown sugar and molasses on the nose and on the taste. Oak begins to come in at the end. A whisky you can always go back to if nothing else is working for you.

Getting a lot of vanilla on the nose tonight, seems to even overtake the peat smoke. Still has the same great taste we’ve all come to love. Smoke, brine, and medicinal notes...

Got ahold of a rough batch here... Very aggressive bite to it... low buck...

Bananas, sugar cookies, ice cream, lots of honey. Low-medium spice, tastes young... Very sweet and drinkable whiskey to go back to.

Very special whiskey... sweet on the pallet with lots of vanilla and honey. Delicious creamy flavor. Mild spice.

Heavy peat smoke. Medicinal, salty and brine notes... Vanilla overtones... long oily finish
