A simple whiskey with vanilla and lots of butterscotch. I found it improves significantly after being opened for a few days.

Good smoke aroma and flavor, medicinal like other Laphroaig, but this seems a bit lighter overall than the 10.

At the price point of $30 or less, i find this one of the best bargains in whiskey. Light spice from the rye, medium sweet, and very smooth palate makes this very drinkable.

I wasn't expecting much but this scotch has good palate. Initially sweet, then dries out with earth and light smoke. This reminds me of JW Black, but better.

This is the sort of rum that could blow up into the next big trend. I do not believe all of the rum is 23 years old. But still, it is delicious and perfect for sipping neat. Making a cocktail with this would be a waste. Aroma is initially alcohol with some light character of honey. Flavor is quite sweet, rich and heavy on the palate.

Straw color. I find the aroma medicinal. Flavor starts dry. With alcohol followed by light sweetness. Some butterscotch and under ripe fruit. Good.

Typical Balvenie sweetness but sweet than i expected. No particular flavors of port or wine, dried fruit, some dust. I would have expected a higher abv.
