Tastes

I don't have much experience with Irish Whiskey, but I liked this one. Pretty smooth and sweet. Not as complex as Scotch, but not peaty either. I can see myself drinking this when I'm in the mood for a simpler flavor than Scotch.

My first drink I didn't care for it much. It has a smooth, sweet onset, but goes downhill from there. I didn't like the aftertaste. But a couple days later I found I appreciated it more. I still wish it was smoother, and the aftertaste still isn't the greatest, but I appreciated the general flavor more after getting used to it.

Not bad. I was expecting more from a 20-year, though, honestly. I like my Cragganmore 12 better. This has some decent flavor, but not as smooth as I like.

If you don't want to spend a lot very often (as I don't), and haven't been ruined for lower-end Scotch, this is a decent go-to.

Good Scotch, especially if you like smoky. It was my friend's favorite in the mid-price-range.

This used to be my favorite Scotch for its price, when it was cheaper than the Cragganmore 12. Now it seems they are the same price, and I slightly prefer Cragganmore.

I found this more peaty and woody than the regular Black, which I liked. It was smoky, but not hugely so, not like Talisker.
