Single barrel store pick from Hokus Pocus. Leather on the palate. The proof is done well.

Cinnamon and vanilla on the palate very smooth. A little oak. Nice finish for being 93.7 proof

One of the first bottles to bring me into the whiskey world. Where do I start the nose is just as good and the complex finish. The palate has a hint of werthers original that my grandpa use to eat while watching old westerns.

The nose is great right off the bat. Sweet and spicy and herbs and oak at the end. Some kinds of fruit also as I get further in. This 140 proof drinks much less which is really surprising. The flavor profile is why you have to get your hands on a unicorn like this. Sweet and oak with charred marshmallow comes off on the palate. All types of fruit profiles for a nice and long finish. Would not have expected this to be 140 proof. When you add a little water you get a banana bread note which is nice.

Very good bottle. It doesn’t quit March the 12 year but it can definitely stand on its own. Maple and oak and toffee on the nose. Brown sugar and roasted peanuts and a hint of vanilla on the palate

I’m reviewing the Old Carter Batch 1-LA. Only 570 bottles were produced. The nose is amazing. Heavy fruit and vanilla and rye spices. Very dark caramel is the color. The palate is fantastic. A smooth clove and spearmint on the palate and a hint of black pepper. A long and rewarding finish. The 117 proof is perfect for this bottle. Another amazing pour by Mark and Sherrie carter. Old carter is some of the best bottles you can get.

One of the best ryes for the price. The nose is a marshmallow and sweet rye bread. It’s a strong flavor but smooth with some brown sugar and peppermint and chocolate hard candy. A small finish for 100 proof.

Wow. A fruit explosion on the nose. Orange right off the bat and Apple and pear and citrus and spice. A chocolate and caramel flavor on the palate. The finish is long and lots of spice and Tobacco. One of the better bottles in 2021.
