William Heavenhill 17 Year Small Batch (10th Edition)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed March 9, 2024 (edited March 10, 2024)Fresh crack Friday. Nose: Peanut brittle, oak, caramelized sugar, baked apples with cinnamon & clove. Palate: Strawberry shortcake with vanilla cream that is sitting in a cigar bar with wafts of leather and sweet tobacco smoke. Sweet oak and very slight honey roasted peanut with coconut peaking through on the sides of the tonuge before giving way to the finish. Finish: Pleasantly long but not sharp or hot. Red berries, dark honey and a kiss of oak An exciting sip that you can absolutely sit with. I am eager to see how it opens up. Cheers!278.0 USD per Bottle -
Booker's Bourbon Batch 2021-04 "Noe Strangers Batch"
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 31, 2024 (edited March 9, 2024)Neat pour. Nose is candied red apple, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, peanut shells, the beginning of a chocolate chip cookie — when you cream butter and brown sugar. Palate starts out creamy, honey roasted peanuts, nutmeg/cinnamon, and Heath bars. Great sip balancing sweet and deep rich flavors. Finish is long and warming it leaves you with peanut toffee and baking spice -
Michter's 25 Year Kentucky Straight Bourbon (2023 Release)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 31, 2024 (edited March 10, 2024)An unreal experience that I was not ready for, but took the ride, and oh what a ride it was. The nose was rich oiled leather, dates, cinammon, clove, wintergreen and the wave of smells you get when you first enter a tobacco shop. Flavor/taste was canned peaches, more of that date note turning towards figs and raisins, worn leather that’s seen a little too much sunshine, and all of those baking spices you sprinkle. Finish clung to the inside of your mouth like a rodeo rider that just refuses to hop off that leather. Sweetness and slight funk/earthiness hang on till you rinse your palate because it didn’t leave. Incredible
