Spirit Works Straight Wheat Whiskey
Wheat Whiskey — California, USA
Reviewed November 1, 2019 (edited November 15, 2020)One of those North Bay Whiskeys that tastes like a fresh bag of grass. They probably rushed the batch because the real estate is so expensive. Stay away. -
High West Campfire (Discontinued)
Blended American Whiskey — (bottled in Utah), Multiple Countries
Reviewed July 29, 2018 (edited November 18, 2018)As soon as I drank this, the peated taste of Campfire transported me back to my last camping trip, where myself and a group of Alaskan oil workers became stranded due to a storm. We spent the next several days slowly succumbing to the winter, all while wolves began hunting us. As our strength dwindled one by one, the predators became more aggressive. Eventually, with only Liam Neeson left, the greatest of the beasts charged before the film cut to black. I then left the theater while listening to perplexed teenangers complain about a movie that dared to make them feel feelings. Thanks Campfire. 4 stars. -
Old Potrero 18th Century Style Whiskey
Single Malt — California, USA
Reviewed July 13, 2018 (edited May 31, 2020)I took a swig of this and the ghost of my great grandfather appeared. He told me to get a real job and actually contribute something to this earth. I tried to explain to him how the tech economy has redefined the economic landscape but he just finished my whiskey while I was distracted. He then cast one last lecherous look at our ethnically diverse waitress before cackling and vanishing in an aracne haze. 4 stars.
