Tastes

If I'm buying bourbon this is probably what I would get. Good spiciness without being overwhelming. And while I normally only drink my sprits neat, I will admit this is delicious in hot apple cider.

Okay, but a little too sweet and simple for me. If I'm feeling American I would probably buy Knob Creek instead.

I'm not sure I've ever met a whiskey I didn't like. This is my go to when I am at a bar (while I love the others, I can't usually afford to order them while out on the town). It mixes well with everything, simple in taste, and a good constant. Would buy a bottle if I was going to a party where people are mixing drinks.

Maybe it's because I have very fond memories of drinking this whiskey, but this is a favorite. I really enjoy the layers of flavors that it has; very smooth.

Easy to drink, but doesn't have anything really special about it that stands out. I would be happy to drink it if offered, but wouldn't buy a bottle.

This is one of the regular bottles of scotch that I buy. It has a nice balance of flavors that make it easy to sip and savor. It's not my elusive favorite scotch I am ever searching for, but it is a good stand in until I find my true love.

I would never buy a whole bottle of Laphroaig, but if I need some serious peat in my life this is a scotch to get. Too peaty to be my regular scotch though.
