Dalwhinnie 15 Year
Single Malt
Dalwhinnie // Highlands, Scotland
Dalwhinnie has been crafting whisky in the remote Drumochter Hills since 1898, sitting at the highest and coldest point of any working distillery in Scotland. Its water comes exclusively from Lochan na Doire-uaine, a high-altitude gathering of snowmelt and rainwater that no other distillery is permitted to use.
One of the original six in Diageo's Classic Malts range, Dalwhinnie sees relatively few official bottlings. The 15 Year is lightly peated, though the peat is subtle enough that some may not detect it.

Tasting Notes
"Aged in mostly ex bourbon barrels, the aroma is very sweet with vanilla and honey at the center of it all. The whisky is full and rich on your palate with some classic Highland heather and salt. Overall, though, this whisky is all about the honey bear. Although not exceedingly complex, this is an underrated malt. Introduce your friends to this whisky who don't know they like Scotch whisky yet."
