Tastes

Like Dave Phinney's wines, this whiskey is big, downright chewy even. Loads of vanilla and wood notes with hints of date, apple, and cherry. Quite a unique experience, and one I'm a huge fan of.

Such a consistent, reliable, quality bourbon at a fantastic price. Plenty of caramel and toffee notes with a smooth back end featuring baking spice notes. If anyone ever asks me what they should try as their first bourbon, this would be my recommendation. A great barometer for comparing other bourbon by both quality and price.

Very nice wheater. I'd rather drink Weller antique, but finding it is more than difficult.
