Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed May 29, 2020 (edited June 13, 2020)Smells great, taste is smooth and sweet with some peanut in it? Finish reflects the proof but is not overly harsh. Really good.55.0 USD per Bottle -
Nose: definitely oak, maybe some fruit and chocolate too Palate: initially cherry? Also some kind of leather note I’m not big on (although not exactly sure what this really is...) Finish: oak, spice, although the spice softened after the first sip and became much softer/smoother Every time I drink this I feel like I think something different. More than once I’ve found this repulsive, but today is one of those days where I’m finding the soft, straightforward flavor pretty nice. Not a bad bourbon, but for the price it’s a very poor value to me.70.0 USD per Bottle

Nose: I mostly got oak and a little vanilla, maybe a bit of floral smell but not much. Ethanol smell was there too Palate: kind of thin, mostly was tasting a spicy vanilla/caramel kind of flavor? Finish: pretty harsh alcohol on the finish, personally not noticing much else This glass is about halfway down the bottle, it’s gotten a bit of air into it by now. Not terrible but not very complex, also really not a fan of the harsh aftertaste. I’ve had barrel proofs with less alcohol harshness on the finish. I enjoy mixing this but as a neat bourbon not my favorite. Picked this up on a whim but will probably pass next time, especially for the price.41.0 USD per Bottle
