Neck pour from 375ml bottle. Nose had a lot of vanilla and caramel notes. Palate initially was like a caramel bomb to me, really sweet. Subsequent sips exhibited less, but it was still present. Finish medium long with some heat, and got a bit of a nutty note on my first sip? Overall not overly complex but it’s nice and sweet which I really like (plus the proof is great, mine is 110 proof)

Nose is vanilla and a bit of cherry? Palate is very full of flavor, finish is a bit short but taste is very good. Tasting at a friends place, but a good pour that I’d buy if in stock

Decently sweet on the nose, surprisingly hot on initial sip, but calmed down after first sip. Not as flavorful as I hoped. Tasted at a friends place, probably wouldn’t buy myself

Nose is very sweet. On the palate/finish not nearly as sweet, much more woodiness than anything else. Surprisingly not tasting much sweetness/richness, the oak dominates for me. Pretty good bourbon, but a bit expensive for the flavor profile I’m tasting.

Lighter, slightly sweeter than a standard bourbon. What I was in the mood for today which really helps this taste better right now. Overall not very complex, but if you like a sweeter, lighter flavor then this is a good pick.

Got a lot of sherry on the nose and front of the palate here, with some honey at the back end of the finish. For the price I got this (due to some store error got a fantastic discount) this is a great pour. Not sure I’d pay full retail though, especially as I’m more of a bourbon guy these days

Nose was a touch of fruit accompanying a good amount of spice. Spice was the major flavor throughout, definitely tastes like a 4R. However a few sips in I noticed a more sweet flavor come through. This is a decently complex flavor and despite the fact that I generally don’t like spicy bourbons this one is quite good.

Tasted in a glencairn, few drops of water, about 10 minutes of air. Nose was sweet, sugary with a hint of that banana you see mentioned. Palate was not too complex, just a light sweetness that doesn’t reflect the proof in the slightest. Finish was medium-long, initially was very nutty but after a few sips the nuttiness was a bit less pronounced. My taste buds have recently been against the bourbons I’ve been having, but this one is just a really fine pour. Glad I picked this one up, definitely worth it.

Sweet, seems a bit like cherry/caramel to me, with a short but sweet finish. Drinking this after Russell’s reserve. Maybe not worth the price, but tastes like a sweeter, richer ER to me
