Kura The Whisky Pure Malt Japanese Rum Cask Finish
Blended Malt — Okinawa , Japan
Reviewed July 13, 2021 (edited May 6, 2022)Nose: grape, old sneaker smell, port wine Interesting, not 1 dimensional. Graham cracker, marshmallow opening then you get ported wine, fruity middle. Finish leaves a slight peated sensation. Little buzz. Nose: 7 Front: 7 Middle: 8 Back: 7 Water, -2 more alcohol comes through. Citrus, maybe peaches come through.61.0 USD per Bottle -
Nose: Old wood, honey, pleasantly peaty and inviting. Front: fresh and light, immediately moves into the middle. Back: Some slight bits of fruit, can taste the cask strength of the traditional Caol Ila, more of a medicinal flavor. Finish: Quick and smooth lingering smokey flavor that reminds me of a smokey bite of BBQ. Not as medicinal as Ardbeg Oogy.

Nose: Smelled this on a cold night, in a whiskey glass. Sherry notes, color was amber. 6 (1-5) Front: light and crisp, 6 Middle: full refreshing and the best of sherry notes. Spiced and sweet not peat since it's meant to be paired with a cigar. Back: clean finishes with sherried. Sweet and smooth 9.

Glenmorangie Lasanta Sherry Cask Finish 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed February 23, 2020Nose: 6, 1-10 spicy, malt, hints of chocolate or cocoa. Interesting enough to get a 6. Color: rose gold Taste: 7, 1-10 medium modied, you pick up on different notes each sip but lacks that final punch to round it off. It builds in flavor from the front of the palate to the finish. Signature Speyside tastes, with some peppery or spicey additions. Not a lot, but enough to let you know it's been seasoned. Overall an enjoyable Scotch that I enjoy at this price point. Finish: 6, 1-10 Overall Score: 6 or 7, depends on the day on a 1-10. I enjoy this scotch. It's a scotch currently in my bar. Good one to share, and also enjoy slowly solo after a long day, or just cause :). I am excited to try other Glenmorangie drams. -
Taste: a sweet alternative to the traditional Islay. If you read the label it literally says " fresh styled, lighter bodied" Islay. Couldn't agree more. For Sherry lovers looking to explore peat, I would recommend this scotch. Nose: inviting light smoke with Carmel notes. Color: light gold Finish: 7, very inviting Islay. Score: 7 on a 1-10. Above avg
