Potpourri on the nose. Not super intense, but a strong floral note takes over for me. Golden raisin? Underlying malt throughout, very mellow peat, maybe a slight funk on the nose too. Complex nose, not sure in a good way. Palate brings tannin, which it needs with this aroma, something to give it a backbone. Not much peat until the finish and then a faint/subtle peatiness holds on. Easy drinker, very approachable on price and palate. Has some unique quality to it no doubt from the wood. Entry into the adventurous, different but not too.

Light vanilla. Not overwhelming but it’s the standout flavor. Approachable for an American whiskey drinker or even bourbon. Orangey notes, very mellow, soft on the palate. Some honey.

Really cool, unique. A wheat and barley blend, very soft on the nose and palate. Easy to drink for all types. Complex enough for a supper, surprisingly low price. Good whiskey.

Beautiful. VERY spicy, both rye and wood spice. Single barrel select from southern whiskey society event in Nashville, TN area. Shuck Beans is a dumb name, but the whiskey is good.

Harsh when you first open but a day or two later it’s much easier. Still really hot, my favorite of all the bulleit line-up now but there are better high proof options. This is rich, a little deeper sweet than I want but legit.

Solid, I used to drink bulleit bourbon mostly for old fash then sometimes neat or on rocks. I wouldn’t drink the reg unless mixed these days, but the 10yr is solid. Honestly, still take a four roses sml batch for the price.

Great stuff, so happy I got to try it.

This is one that I’ll always look out for, high proof and all that.
