As a long time Irish Whiskey fan with favorites such as all things Redbreast and Bushmills 10 & 16 year, I reluctantly tried Jameson Black Barrel. A funny thing happened, it had just enough notes of apple, with a bourbon profile and a hint of smoke to make my list of top 5 whiskeys under $40. Well done Jameson! You might have a "prod descendant" convert in that artistic rendering of my three favorite spirits....Irish Whiskey, Bourbon and real Apple Brandy. Thanks!
