6-18-18 / Barrel 548 / Rick 58 / Bottle 52 / N: Incredble. It’s strong, sure. But the mix of flavors here is amazing. It’s sweet, with cinnamon, vanilla and caramel. It’s got fruit. The bottle from a fabled tasting in Marietta! A spicy but easy drinker. And a rye staple. Pepper, vanilla and honey. Maybe even hard candy.

This is a strong, hot, crazy, young bourbon. The aroma is wonderful. It’s loaded with flavors, and the flavors are all over the place. It’s really interesting. One of my favorites to discuss.

The Liquor Company 🥃 Barrel 5705 Sweeter and smoother than you’d expect at that proof. Lots of flavor with overriding vanilla.

It’s good straight. It’s great in a manhattan or old fashioned because of the smoky and cherry notes.
