Tastes

I'm usually not a big peat fan, but this malt got me. The peat is pronunciated but not overwhelming. It has a salty, spicy ending that lasts for a long time and is very round. Worth it.

Maybe the best budget 15 yo out there. Malty, smooth, honest. Totally wort it and comes with a very nice metal box.

Very artificial, too much artifical coloring in an attempt to make it look "aged". Strong alcohol, too sweet but at least has a malty background for a blend this price tag. Not the worst scotch I've tried so far but not buying it again.

Easy to drink, very decent. Not the most complex out there but also impossible to dislike. Makes a really good introductory whisky.

Lacks character. It's a decent bourbon, but too sweet; more than 2 shoots is sickening. Better on the rocks.

Pure alcohol with some vanilla. Would make a good filler for a canteen tough.

Gets better after some water bath (it's even recommended by JW in their website). At room temperature tastes like pure peat, yuck

Years ago, proved it and tasted much better than the bottle I recently bought. Disappointed.
