I keep coming back to this bottle. It’s a true staple and will always be open on my bar cart. It feels and tastes like home. Lights up my hippocampus for some reason. Oakiness on the nose; “classic” Yamazaki smell. Sweet, up front sherry. Biscuits and toffee. Dried fruit. Medium finish. Between this, Harmony and Hakushu 12, these summarize the Japanese whisky flavor profile.
