Wow, had higher hopes for this...kind of like my night. Not into this one, nice to try but wouldn’t spend the $$ for a bottle. It does get better the more sips you take.

Expected more of a punch from a BIB, however cool I got to try this new(er) EhT, just seems in my area prior to covid. It’s an easy drinker, little heat. Pick up caramel, not much for spice maybe a hint of cinnamon.

Nose is sweet, for the proof not as much of a punch as I expected. Cinnamon is prevalent, pick up a little honey. *edit - tried with some h2o, preferred neat. The water mellowed it a tad too much*

Expected more flavor, does finish with a hint of spice, which fades in the mouth not down the throat. Pick up hints of banana and oak.

Bought this when I traveled (non-COVID). Was the right night to crack her open. Glad I had the opportunity to enjoy it with a dear friend!

Of the 3 cask finishes this one has the most burn however had the deepest spice bouquet. Would like to try with h2o

Batch 17-05, bottle 972 Pick up wood on the nose primarily. Lower on the proof side however has a subtle warm finish. Pick up citrus in the flavor profile.

Batch 17-06 Bottle 665 Nose is sweet, pick up wine and fruit. Proof is weak however still has a decent flavor with subtle warmth. Pick up hints of cinnamon on the palette as well.

Batch 19-02, bottle 609, 119.7 proof This one will warm you up, not alcohol burn but inner warmth. Initial sip is intense but I quickly acclimated and enjoyed! Haven’t had any Belle Meade before, can’t buy around here but picked this up on my Savannah trip last year. Pick up flavors of oak or tobacco, cherry and vanilla.

Very smooth and good for the price! Could be a good daily rye dipper. Not robust with flavor though.
