Tastes

Nose: Peppercorns, savory spices, brown sugar. Sweet smoke?!? Palate: baking spice, semi-sweet chocolate, candy sweet, marshmallows? Finish: the whisky falls off a bit on the sharp-ish alcohol finish. Not a lot of follow through. Woody, but not in a great way.

Nose: cinnamon, oak, dried fruit (raisins?), leather?, little apple deep down. Palate: sweet, dry finish. Oak, cinnamon apple, slight leather. Corn sweetened underneath. So nicely balanced in so many directions.

Nose: Apple, cinnamon, caramel, oak, butterscotch? Cherry? Well balanced. Sweet and juicy! Palate: sweet and dry. Caramel apple and spice. Mellow oakiness. Big Spice, very dry finish. Hints of dark chocolate by the end.

Nose: Alcohol burn, rye spice (anise, eucalyptus), brown sugar and cinnamon, slightly woody (oak? cedar?) Palate: Savory at first. Clove? Nutmeg? Cinnamon red hots. Balanced between dusty corn sweetness and barrel bitter.

Nose: dusty sweet corn. Dark wood. Light red apple. Palate: Caramel, vanilla, oak. Slight Cherry, Apple, cinnamon. Rich with flavor, but not complex. Dry finish.
