Knob Creek 9 Year Single Barrel Reserve
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 17, 2018 (edited September 24, 2018)Total wine store pick, rested about 6 months. 120 proof Nose: caramel, toffee, molasses, honey, slight alcohol burn. Added water: I can smell some vanilla now and a faint sweetness. Palate: immediately hit by alcohol, very warming, and then notes of oak, tannin, and caramel. Added water: all the same flavors more pronounced now but tasting more tannins and leather. Finish: fades into more mellow sweetness mixed with cough syrup. Added water: finish is a lot more watery which kills that syrupy goodness, but has a doctor peppery taste now.30.0 USD per Bottle -
