Dolphin smooth. No barrel spices.

Not a typical “peated whisky”. Nose is vegetal Peat, no iodine, salt or fish notes, mild sweetness. Palate starts like a Port Charolette for the first second or two. Then nothing but mild sweetness and peat, zero smoke. A very disappointing dram. It lacks sweetness and depth of flavors and what is a peated whisky without some smoke?

Nose is wet sour hay and dusty antique store, no sweetness or vanilla, palate is hay forward with a sour note, mild pineapple. Finish is short with no sweetness, a very faint coconut flavor long after finish. Not a typical bourbon.

A good no nonsense rye that won’t push anyone away. Nose is just what a rye smells like, light honey, rye spice, eucalyptus, no anise. Palate enters very gentle and light, not a heavy oily whiskey, not very sweet either. Development bitter citrus rind that gives way to rye spice and leather. Finish is all leather and dry. Might make a good cocktail.

Rich inviting dark fruits, black tea and dark honey, hints of smoke, with high notes of apple pie and spices.

Similar base notes of HP12 but without the stronger sherry influence. Salty, briny light smoke dram.

Sweet and savory. Clearly Glenfiddich but sweeter and smoother. Dolphin smooth.

Sweet piña colada on the nose, palate sweet start then very dry bitter barrel, finish is unremarkable till 15-20 seconds later till a lingering sweet vanilla, cocoa butter and coconut tanning lotion.

Similar to Aberlour 12 with less citrus and more sherry.
