Let it air out, and it evolves into an amazing array of complex flavors. Add a few drops of water, and the sweetness comes forward. You can really taste the barrel, and it tastes damn good. Notes of cherry coke, vanilla, tannins, and brown sugar. Sipping this whiskey is genuinely an experience to remember.

Not much complexity but enjoyable. No burn, no spice. Candy sweetness. Guilty pleasure. Hard to not like.

Delicious and inoffensive everyday bourbon. Sweet, balanced. A classic.

Didn’t fully understand what people meant by “complexity” until I tried Bookers a second time. Under the fire lies lots of tastebud adventure.

Decent. Good in a cocktail.

Warming, smokey, some woody spices. Lots of subtle complexities in this $35 whisky. Best enjoyed after a day of skiing in a log cabin. The bourbon drinkers segway to Japanese whiskey.

Hard not to like the butterscotch, and sweet corn notes on this bourbon. It’s like desert, but not so sweet that it’s overbearing. Not much going on in the heat department, but addictive and accessible nonetheless. I crave this stuff. Michter’s FTW.
