Tastes

Forefront is pungent, but middle is sweet caramel, vanilla, and faint pancake batter. Mild oak. Fairly light and vibrant. Finishes almost clean. If it weren't for the objectionable nose, would be a solid budget whisky.

Not Kentucky's best to say the least. Thin and papery flavor. Finishes with alcohol heat and spice, but a watery flavor lingers. Certainly bottom shelf.

Belated review. Dry, spicy, oaky, and young, but not too hot. Some green apple notes as well. Really digging the vibrant spicy rye character.
