Cassius Clay Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Bourbon — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed November 25, 2018 (edited October 11, 2019)On the nose, nothing to write home about. First taste, rough. A splash of water helps this one out quite a bit. Then you pick up a light almond caramel note that moves to a cinnamon spice finish. Tastes pretty young, finish is pretty quick. All in all, spend a few bucks more and get something with more depth. Perhaps good for mixing.50.0 USD per Bottle -
Wathen's Single Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed November 25, 2018 (edited March 9, 2019)Strong ethanol on the nose. Not much else. Surprisingly smoother up front than you’d expect, but that’s about it. Mediocre in the mouth. Finish is spicy/cinnamon, but gone fast. Long, slow burn after. Not really much in the way of great flavor or experience. A young, under aged bourbon that is non descript. Spend a few dollars more and buy something worth drinking. Good for mixers, it that’s about it.40.0 USD per Bottle
