Tastes

Dry upfront, spicy and sweet in the middle, minty tingle to finish. Less smoke than Talisker 10 - more of a rich sweet spice. Very slight char that makes an appearance later on

Nose is harsh ethanol, likely due to immaturity. Mostly honey, a little caramel, and subtle oak. Finish packs some heat, mostly dulling the sweet taste on the palate

A good daily rye; good value for price. More heat on the nose than expected. Nice rounded spice on the palate with a slight char and caramel note finish.

On the sweeter side: Green apple vs pear. Not too much complexity, likely due to immaturity
