Tastes

This has such a buttery, velvety smoothness to it. Very well balanced, but a hint of ethanol at the end. Lots of vanilla and a bit of spice.

This is a Bansum LIWS pick from barrel 20-0556, Rickhouse E, 4th Floor. Lots of oak, full bodied, nice mouthfeel, bold all around.

Very smooth. Noticeably different and better than the regular Blanton’s.

This is the first pour from my very own bottle of GTS, that I won in a lottery from my local whiskey group. Beyond excited to acquire this bottle. The initial taste is overwhelmingly oak with some spice. It’s so well balanced and has a very long finish. Looking forward to how this will change over the next couple hours. Merry Christmas!

West Islip Store Pick - Barrel # 415, Barreled: 6/16/16, Bottled: 9/1/20 - American Dream! Very distinctive flavor profile that’s a bit sharper than your typical bourbon. Would love to see what another few years would do to this. Mouthfeel is good, about halfway between full bodied and thin. The finish lingers for quite awhile. There is a bit of bitterness on the back of the tongue that develops in the finish.
