Tastes

Beautifully complex, yet also a simpler drop than the fuller bodied whiskeys, this is a great go-to . Without any on hand I can't break down the tastes but I would be surprised if anyone was disappointed with this classic whiskey.

Stunning, one of my all time favourites. Toffee and something akin to soap at the start, mellowing into a multi layered experience that I'm afraid I cannot decode. This is not a drop to be taken lightly, it demands time and savouring. When ever you fell the need to take a moment, be it quiet celebration at the end of a challenging day, or contemplation of what is yet to come, Bunnhabhain is the one to reach for. Classic, timeless, dependable.

Not convinced. Lovely nose but in the mouth my main impression is bitterness. Smooth enough but less complex than I would like and just bitter. A nice smack of peat, but to be honest I probably won't be bothering with this unless I run out of my usuals. It was a gift of sorts, I wouldn't buy it.
