Weller Full Proof Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATastedThis is great. Reading a lot of reviews complaining about the lack of finish on this but I’m getting a pretty lengthy one. Definitely a few notches above 107, which is fantastic in its own right. Digging it.
Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. Amaranth Bourbon Bottled in Bond
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATastedNeat. Still trying to wrap my head around it. Big medicinal cherry notes. Almost Robotussin like. This is strange.15.0 USD per PourVintage Cocktail Lounge
Herradura Selección Suprema Extra Añejo Tequila
Tequila Extra Añejo — Tequila Valley, Jalisco, MexicoTastedCaramel. Okay stuff!
Henry DuYore's Rye Whiskey
Rye — Oregon, USATastedThis is fascinating to me. The nose is pure fucking mint chocolate. Andes mints incarnate. Fuck, it’s some strange juice. Tongue-ing this bad boy brings a smooth but fairly basic palate wash. Andes... mints...
The Balvenie Tun 1509 Batch 4
Single Malt — Speyside, ScotlandTastedThis is absolutely incredible. Big vanilla, butterscotch, apricot. I need to find this.23.0 USD per Pour
Booker’s Bourbon Batch 2018-04 "Kitchen Table"
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATastedLove a good ol’ glass of barrel proof under the moonlight with my dog by my side. About halfway through this bottle and it’s lackluster compared to other Bookers batches I’ve had and currently have. Don’t get me wrong, it’s really great but I can’t get into detail because well... I’m drunk. And I probably should have picked something else to drink in the state I’m currently in. But hey, as Gandhi once eloquently put it... fuck it.
James E. Pepper 1776 Straight Rye Barrel Proof
Rye — Indiana (Bottled in Kentucky), USATastedNose is total shite. Pure ethanol. Once you get past that it’s fairly decent. Age is “over 3 years”. It shows. Not much characteristically speaking. I’ve had worse but I’ve also had much better.
Jefferson's Ocean Aged at Sea Voyage 19 Special Wheated Mash Bill
Bourbon — USATastedFirst sip I was genuinely like... MEH. Third to fourth sip.... clickage. Solid. Fascinating these Ocean’s are. This one seems tame. Nice vanilla caramelization going on. I’d buy a bottle.
Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch A119
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATastedWhoa. So tasty. Sweet & mildly oakey nose. Baking spice, vanilla & honey are but a few things that I get tongue wise. As for availability and price point, I’ll be coming back for this batch especially. Daily drinker? Fuck yes.59.99 USD per BottleOLCC
