Springbank 15 Year
Single Malt — Campbeltown, Scotland
Reviewed December 28, 2018 (edited January 18, 2019)What a lovely gem! Very rich taste, full of surprises when you sip it. Lightly peated and smokey on nose and taste. Fruits and sweetness is there, but first you will feel saltiness and a bit of bitter. Lovely whiskey and a must try.Duokle Angelams -
Highland Park 18 Year Viking Pride
Single Malt — Islands, Scotland
Reviewed December 28, 2018 (edited December 21, 2019)It's a decent whiskey but really flat and boring. Very light smoke and peat. Sweet and maybe a bit salty (maybe). Fruity and vanilla on nose. I had this on my list (well had a vintage one) on my list for a very long time and got disappointed. It's overpriced and misses more complex taste for 18 years old whiskey. Tried it together with other two and... Springbank 15 is way more interesting. And Ballechin vintage 2008 just blows Highland away.Duokle Angelams
